I recently purchased a beautiful, well kept 97 tahoe. I have traced down and fixed several small electrical issues, but I'm still having a small issue with the headlights. The problem I am having is that when I turn my brights on, my low beams turn off. I was fairly sure that both should be on at the same time when using the brights.....Right??. I had a 98 silverado several years ago and I'm almost positive that's the way they worked.
Anyway...if anyone has any Ideas I would appreciate it.
Thanks.

Lows always shut of on my '99 when the highs were on.

Not to hijack this thread but rather to get more clarity on this modification.
Are there any known issues with overheating wires or fuses ??
Thanks,
