Headlight Upgrade

I have a 2009 Tahoe LT and the other night, I noticed how dim my headlights are. Like scary dim, but the brights seem to be plenty good. In my last car I had I had a set of OPT7 headlights which weren't to bad. Right now I am looking at a Kensun set. I was just wondering if you all had any recommendations to other brands for HID headlights and fog lights. I like the white color (~5000k) and bright.

Check the tagged info under the "Exterior" section. Soulsea has a pinned post with a plethora of information in it. With that, I'll just say this, make the wise investment and do a full retrofit. Yes they can be spendy, but anything else is worthless scattered light that will blind oncoming drivers and not give you a proper field of vision at night. There are vendors on here who have them ready to go and many other members who can retrofit as well for a decent price.

I saw this "Discuss engine and drivetrain items from brakes, transmissions, towing, error codes, anything in the engine bay and so on here." and figured since lights are in the engine bay, that this is where I should post. But now I know better...lol

So I read the post that Soulsea did. HOLY COWS!!! That was way more than I ever cared to know about lights. lol However, with that said, it was very insightful, educational, and will definitely help prevent people from making costly mistakes. He also specifically talks about the 2009 Tahoe, so that was very helpful to see that. This man clearly has spent a VERY long time doing research on lights. I had no clue there was that much that went into it. What a huge contribution all of that info was.

Glad it was helpful! Soulsea was the inspiration for my retrofit build. I went with the Lexus RX350 BiXenon projectors with Gatling 2 shrouds, Phillips Nightbreaker 4200k bulbs with Morimoto ballasts at 35W. I still have some tweaking to do on getting my setup aligned, and I do need to reseal my driver side housing as I have blown a seal; but the light output is amazing and I still feel that this has been the best mod I have EVER done in any of my vehicle builds, and I have built a Chevelle, VW R32 (show and track car) and building this Denali. These have been my favorite due to not just looking great and unique from the stock vehicles, but makes it a safer drive at night.
