headliner ??????????

So I got my headliner down but the mirror wires are still connected and also some that go behind the dash???? Not sure how to disconnect ....Do I need to take the dash out too, just for the headliner???WTF.....

ok so I went a little crazy there for a sec......got the wires took care of. Just took them off the headliner!!!!!!!!!!!hahaha thanx for any of yall that were going to help out..on to the next thread...

Do you possibly have a guide(maybe with pictures) on how you got the headliner down?

I never did this before....but was not hard just took some time!! I will post pics and tell you how I did it.....not sure how easy it would be with seats in...I took mine out so I was able to move around pretty easy.

I've done it with the seats in before and its little more time consuming cause you have to work around them. But just take the rear seats out, if you have them, fold the middle seats down so they're out of the way and recline the front seats as far back as they will go. Once you get the headliner down you have to kinda tilt it to get it out so you don't crease it or break it.

And yeah, the wires are just glued to the headliner. You can either hot glue them back on or just tape them up to the inside roof out of the way.

So what are you doing with your headliner?

Also what year is your truck?

Just curious to know why you do it?

The headliner was recovered with new fabric....I have a 02 yukon denali , I had to replace headliner and pad due to sunroof breaking. I pulled seats dynomated shampoed carpet and put in new pad. Will post pics asap...I did screw my lights up though...the LAST screw to the pass side sunvisor went into the wire for the light in the sunvisor and know my lights are all messed up!!!!!!!!!FML almost had it with no slip ups...lol
