The headrests come out easily with something like a good-sized paper clip end pressed into the small hole as the headrests are lifted up.
After I purchased my Tahoe many years ago, I removed the front-row headrests, and both of them now reside in the Lubbock County dump. The second-row headrests are now in the front-row seats. The third-row headrests are now in the second-row seats. And the third-row seats also reside in the Lubbock County dump.
Now the seating and headrests are as they should have come from the factory when I ordered the Tahoe. My head is happy, and I can see clearly what's behind my vehicle.
