My 07 Tahoe does the same thing. My seat cushion element was burned up (visibly). Changing it out this weekend. Should fix the issue. Its most likely the element not the module.

How do you check this? I'm having this issue with the passenger seat bottom in mine.

Turned out to be a burned up element. Take the side trim off (7mm up front and some clips) then look under the seat for where the leather clips to the frame. One big clip on the front, one small on the side and another Velcro piece toward the seat back. Pull the leather up and over the cushion back enough that you can see the heating element.

The element just sticks on so it comes off easy. The harness runs to the back, toward the middle of the vehicle. Just trace it back and under the seat and unplug it. Be careful as the metal used on the seat frame is extremely sharp. Then just install the new pad, stretch the leather and clip it back into the cushion and you're done!ImageUploadedByTapatalk1359026990.024927.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1359027002.133938.jpg

Element was just under $50 at the dealer. Works like a charm now.

Ryan - thank you! Appreciate the detailed help. I took mine apart but with the cooled seats it must be a different setup than yours. I got the cover out of f the way off but it seemed like the element was underneath a layer of black foam and was all glued in place. Might need to be a dealer issue unless anyone else has done this with cooled seats.

So I have changed out the element in the bottom and still didn't work so I ordered a new switch and still nothing. The old element looked god and was not burned up at all. I have read somewhere that maybe the seat needs to be reprogramed by the dealership anyone heard of such a thing

Just noticed this evening that if I use the remote start that the bottom seat heater comes on until I insert the key and turn on then it goes out and when I try to turn it back on nothing.... anyone had that happen before?
