Heated seat works... kind of

So this is not like the other posts, where the seat heater does not work at all. In my 2011 Tahoe they mostly work. I can have the back part on and it works fine, but when I press the bottom button where it is suppose to do heat both the back and the seat, it only heats up the seat bottom. Any ideas? I wouldn't figure it to be the element unless they run two different ones in the back part.
