Heated seats and power not working...

Ok, new here and new to forums in General. ANyways. I have an issue.... I own a 05 yukon XL denali. Love this hell outta that thing. Well, over the winter the heated seats decided to stop working in the front. Then i noticed that the power seat on the driver side would not move... But the seat on the pass. side does move. No heat to either seat tho. The pedals also will move. I looked it up and it said main problem is a broken wire. i could not find any broken wires after removing the bottom of the seat driver side. I am also not incrediblly mechanical but can not afford to bring this in to get it fixed.

So, the main thing i need to work would be the electric seats, as i am 6'4" and my wife 5'3", she needs to move the seat to be able to drive that truck. Would love to have the heated seats back as well being I live in Northern Minnesota but that is not a neccessity. So, is there anyway to bypass the seat heat and just do the power seats? Or does anyone have any other suggestions on what to do cause i am at a complete loss here. Any help would be much appreciated.

i would take another look under the seat. there are at least 5 different connectors under there. each has its own complicated mess of a plug. I would open each , use some dielectric grease, reconnect and then look for any loose wiring. when I replaced my seat cover I had the same issue, had to go back under and found a loose connection.

I pulled the bottom of the seat and disconnected everything. Checked and rechecked the wires. Used the dielectric grease and reconnected them all. The only thing i noticed was 1 red wire going to what looks like the biggest plug (behind the smart box thing) that red wire was bare right at the end where it goes into the plug but was still connected inside.... Any idea if I can just bypass stuff and only have the power seat hooked up to work?

Also, I did notice that when i press the memory buttons on the door, the chime does go off *Beep* rather, letting me know that those buttons work... So it is just the heat, Lumbar and movement that are not working on the driver side and heat on pass. side.

i don't know about bypassing, but my next thought would be to check the terminals with a test light, see which ones are getting power, and which ones aren't.

There is a black control module that is located under the driver seat. This module controls the power seat functions for the drivers seat as well as the seat heaters for both the driver and passenger seats. The passenger seat power controls are separate which is why your passenger seat will still move. Replacing this module should fix both problems but they are not cheap. Dorman makes a aftermarket replacement module part #590-002 that will plug and play with the factory. The cheapest solution would be to buy a seat from a salvage yard and swap the module. Any seat from a 2003-2006 Chevy/GMC Silverado, Tahoe, Suburban, Sierra, Denali, Yukon or Escalade will work for your truck as long as it has the full 6 way power (not just the power forward and back with manual recline). The install is pretty simple and I have complete how to videos on YouTube that will show you how to disassemble and re-assemble the seat. I own a interior manufacturing company in Dallas and we specialize the Chevy and Ford Trucks and SUV's. I have worked on thousands of these seats and trouble shoot this stuff every day. I found the orange wire to have gotten hot on mine somehow affecting the connection. If I moved it , everything would work, move again everything stopped working. It looked OK (more or less) but I've been down the burnt connector route before.
