I am trying to figure out the easiest way to replace the front heater core in a 2000 YUKON XL... I am hoping to stay away from disconnecting the A/C and dealing with all that..is it possible?? If anyone has or knows where to find the DIY guide to doing this job I would really appreciate it. Thanks

Do a search for the .pdf version of the shop manual. I know it's out there somewhere.

I wouldn't think you would need to touch the A/C to change the heater core, but I could be wrong. I haven't done one on our trucks yet, but I have done them before on other vehicles. I would think that you should just have to disconnect the hoses (from the engine side) and pull the core out from the passenger compartment.

Hopefully someone else can verify, but search for that manual in the mean time.
