2014 Tahoe 179,000 miles… I was on the way to work and I was smelling what smelled like dirt coming from vents like dirty dusty air. I did a pull on the highway to pass someone and after that the AC was on for some reason and All air quit blowing in the front nothing was working. The rear air is still blowing. I’m guessing it’s the blower motor since the back one is still blowing

I was thinking, maybe I would check the fuse on my lunch break, don’t really have time for the blower motor and I don’t know where the resistor is located.

I imagine if the rear blower motor is working that the resistor is probably OK? Unless there’s more than one resistor

Front blower motor and resistor are under your glovebox.
Need to remove underdash cover (3 screws, one near the middle)
When you take that cover off, you will see
thx ill check it out, anyhting in particular i should be looking for? wanna make sure im doing the right thing

you can take the blower motor out and apply 12v to test it. If it spins then you can lean more towards the resistor being the issue. but check the fuse of course.

When you say apply 12v to it, what do
You mean.
use a couple wires connected to the battery and touch the 2 pins in the blower motor connector. if it spins then it is good
if the connector looks burnt or melted then that's a sign of the motor being bad or going bad, happened to mine. started to melt a little bit and lost the connection and stopped working. so I grabbed one from the junkyard and cut the wires for the connection then disassembled the connector and replaced it also instead of cutting my wires. the pins were fine it was just the plastic that melted.
