So going to work this morning (literally ten minutes ago, lol) i get into my truck, notice theres dew all over the windshield and all that so i hit my wipres, well being WI, the windshiled stays somewhat foggy cause its still somewhat cold up here

so i turned on my defrost, i turned the fan on low and this loud annoying squeak just filled the cab, tried the second setting and was a bit quicker and maybe a bit louder

so i want to know which part of the heater to look at for being bad, or if theres like soemthing i can grease or something to stop this squeak cause id really rather not have to replace shit but if i must i will, lol

Thanks for any input

Sounds like the blower motor is starting to squeak. Kind of like there's an angry chipmunk under the dash????

Where in WI are you located? I'm in Cedarburg.

Sometimes you get debris and shit caught in the blower motor and it will make some noise until it clears. This might be what happened to you, but the motor itself may be squeaking like Diller said

so this weekend im gonna buy the blower motor, but im confused on some stuff

1st, in the haynes manual it says something about pressing on something

im thinking thats putting the blades on the motor? but the one i plan on buying has those already so im not sure if thats what it is or not

and 2nd, its just not amazing instructions for me, im sure i could figure it out, but the haynes manual doesnt always have the best pictures, so if someone could take some pics or something on wht i gotta take off id really appreciate it

btw idr if i said before or not, but its a 96 hoe

The impeller (cage) is a press-on piece. The GM motor comes with the new impeller already pressed on.

I could sell you one of these for $110.00.

Feel free to drop a PM. It would take me a couple of hours to get one here.
