Oops. Looks like you posted that chart. Thanks, it made things a lot clearer.
Yeah, I was wrong and learned right later and have been trying to fix my mistake ever since! I don't even know where that post is anymore, if you come across it, let me know please and will see if the mods can help me with it.

I have a 6” fabtech with uniball UCA and icon coil overs and I’m happy with the outcome rim size don’t make a big difference to me offroad I’ve had anything from 15x12Mickey Thompson’s to 24x14s on 35s and never seen a huge difference on how it preformed. I will say gears and a tune will make the biggest difference depending on the tire size you go with depending on what you got from the factory.
My stuff has only been mild work done like a custom tune cold air intake ported throttle body plugs wires etc nothing major and it seems to handle everything fine. However when I throw the stock 17s with the 245s on it turns into a race truck
3.42s suck I’ll be swapping out for some 4.10s this winter

That's quite a rig you've built up. The most I plan to go with is a 2" lift since I don't do any serious rock crawling or gnarly roads (Anymore. I took my 4Runner places by myself that I shouldn't have. Luckily, never broke down). Unfortunately I have 20" wheels and don't want to spend the $ to replace them with 17s, so I'm thinking of going to 275/65/R20 KO2s. They're 34" diameter and would give me another half inch or so of clearance.
I've got the 3.42 gears and will stay with them.
Did you notice any difference in mileage after the tune? I get 18-18.5mpg and don't know how typical that is for a 4WD with 3.42 gears. So far I'm happy with the power but will have to see after I put on the bigger tires. Did you run any performance times before and after the tune? I've got Torque that will give 0-60 and 1/4 mile times, so I plan to test it before and after tires, then decide on a tune or whatever.
Did you change your speedometer calibration with the tire changes? Is that a bit deal?

@scot_c When I went to 34's my MPG took a pretty good hit. I was getting 18 to 20 and after adding a lift wheels and bumpers it dropped to around 12 MPG. It also had much slower acceleration.

I re-geared mine with 411s and now run 35's it feels faster then stock and I get between 14 to 19 MPG My 35's are actually 34.8.

With a 2 inch lift you will need to do some cutting for clearance so you aren't rubbing.

Thanks for the information. Interesting that going to lower gears improved mileage. I'd hoped to be able to run 34s without rubbing. Given the mileage and clearance problems I may reconsider tire size.

Here’s a pic when I had the 20x12 and 285 nittos they measured out to like a 33.11.50 I loved them and was one of my favorite set ups I just wanted bigger since I was doing the lift and all they would’ve looked too small.
My gas mileage has always sucked I get 14.5 on 20s and 33s and 14 flat on 22x14 with 35s
I’ve always blamed it on the “old” motor the power train in this thing is right at 300,000 miles just about (298,756)
My lifted white Silverado with bolt ons got around 16.5 or more depending on how you drove it.
The Tahoe is stock I’ve changed the plugs wires and regular maintenance stuff like alternator and radiator front end breaks etc.
One thing I’ve assumed is my catalytic converters being stopped up now that the wife isn’t Dailey driving it anymore I plan to run the same exhaust as my truck has which is 1 7/8” longtubes 3” pipe no cat with a x pipe to help even flow and take drone and popping out then go into a set of flowmaster super 10s

When I done the longtubes and no cats on my truck it really woke it up tweaked the tune after and got it dialed in even better.
Cold air intake was a waste I just had one laying around but I eventually want to run functional ram air hoods to feed cold air to the intake and that should help in a couple hp

I never ran no 1/4 mile times or dyno it she’s super slow the 3.42 gears suck I plan to run 4.10s with 33s that will give it a lot more bottom end grunt but still keep decent Milage hopefully.

The speedometer will be fine with that size tire only if you go up to like a 35 it will only throw it off maybe 5mph I know because i trade wheels a lot and got a speeding ticket beside my speedometer was off instead of 60 it was like 65-67 lol but most local shops or your tuner can calibrate that to whatever tire size you have.

I will say when you tune it have him delete the stabalitrac i left mine because of the wife and regret it every now and then it’ll pop up on the dash and cause it to shift hard out of first gear for whatever reason so i keep it cut off.

If you are on a budget just get some extended upper control arms and 2” leveling kit that’s what I ran for a year no real issues I just wanted my angles to be perfect and couldn’t pass up the deal I got on my suspension. 4800$ or more worth of parts only 225$ in it all!

I got the “prerunner” style set up beings I ride down the beach alot were I live and the roads are washboards so I wanted to improve the integrity of the front suspension as much as I could with heavy duty stuff to maybe I won’t have to touch it anymore and if I do Atleast it’s all under a lifetime warranty! (Kryptonite parts)

As far as the tune do your research don’t just go throw some dumbass 3-500$ or however much to tune it and not know what he is doing find someone who knows chevys good. My local tuner is awesome and he only charged me 150$ but I’ve known him for years and he has tuned every vehicle I have ever owned so he cut me a deal.
