Hey fellas, ive been lurking for a while now and figured i should join up as i plan on taking over my wifes tahoe in a few months when we buy her a new family hauler (probably a '16 explorer). I already have found tons of useful info on this site so i want to thank you guys for that right out of the gate!
The Tahoe has north of 160k on her and is falling apart daily lol. I shouldnt be too harsh, its been a solid ride to date with no major breakdowns. We bought it used with ~68k on the clock 4ish years ago. At that time everything on the vehicle worked, everything. Since then, its been an electrical train ride to say the least and thats what id like to find some answers to here
Heres a list of what comes to mind: factory 6-disc junked, both heated seats wont stay on, rear dvd wont accept discs, tachometer either pegged or dead, randomly shows rear lift gate error code on dash, 4wd switch is squirrely (already ordered transfer case range selector) , steering wheel clunks and has since day one which doesnt bother my wife but ill have to fix asap when i start daily driving it (already researched this one as well).
Id like to eventually add some power down the road; 6.0/4l80e, but thats way down the road lol. Right now im just trying to get her back in tip-top shape (without going broke lol).
