That's weird. I have used an 18 mm tool many times.
How stiff would it be on the last hole? I was thinking of putting mine there.
I’ve had to get some 18mm as well. It used to be metric was always odd in larger sizes.Perhaps, it is because you've had GM vehicles for a while (if that is that you've used the 18mm tool on many times). This is the first GM product that I've owned or worked on since the late 1960's, and they weren't metric back then.
Have you tried the last mounting hole on the bar adjustment? How do you think that would make the handling?If I recall correctly I used 18mm a lot when disassembling front suspension, steering and brake components.
