Help! 1999 Chevy Tahoe no start issue!

I have a 99 Chevy Tahoe 5.7. I recently had fuel injectors replaced. When I received the truck back to check engine light was still on. I went to AutoZone and had the check engine light checked. Said it was a crankshaft position sensor code. Oh I change the crankshaft position sensor and also went ahead and changed the spark plugs and wires. Now the engine won’t start. It cranks but won’t start! Battery is new. It’s not the alternator. Mechanic that worked on it said it was a spark issue! Any advice?! Opinion? Where do I go from here?!

Do you recall if the check engine code was a P1345 “Crankshaft Position-Camshaft Position Correlation”. ?

If that is the case, then mostly likely your distributor needs to be adjusted to + or -2 degrees cam retard offset above 1000rpm. I had this issue when I replaced my distributor during my fuel injector spider and lower intake manifold maintenance.

5.7l Vortec Distributor Timing

I just installed a new Bravex Distributor in my 97 Yukon GT 5.7l Vortec after doing the MPFI upgrade. I fiddled around long enough so the distributor body sat somewhat parallel to the intake, and there was no more P1345 code. I got an OBDLink MX Bluetooth scanner with Dash Command App installed...

It was a P0340 code

P0340 Code is cam posiition sensor in distributor. Was that code present before injector replacement? I hope you used a Delco Crank sensor.
It could possibly be a loose or chafed wire in the distributor at cam sensor, as dist must be removed for injectors. I believe that is one of the reasons P1345 was mentioned above. If P1345 still showing fix that first and cam sensor code may disappear.

No i don’t believe it wasn’t present before the fuel injectors being replaced. Showed up after. Sorry, I’m new to the forum (today!) so I haven’t quite figured this out.

Then replace CAM sensor in distributor. Delco or Delphi.

When was the FUEL PUMP last replaced ?

Fairly easy to replace and also do a very thorough check of the wires in there. There can get rubbed thru on the insulation over time and even break.

You said the mechanic said it was a spark problem. Was this after just talking to him/her or after he/she inspected for the problem?
