I would still do that cam sensor. If you already bought the distributor, you did didn't you, I would install it as long as it came with the cam sensor. Not a hard job to do. Any shop that knows what they are doing can install it in about an hour or less.
I had only bought the distributor cap and rotor. But returned it. I am going to have the cam sensor replaced. That’s still the only code showing.

You are on the right track here. How old is the cap and rotor? If 30k old, replace them and if the distributor is 60k old, replace it. Lots of times the new distributor comes with a new cap and rotor.
