Iv been posting new threads once in awhile about random questions and I should probably just make one big one and keep it going for when ever I have to say something or need help.

I got a 1998 Yukon and I must say its pretty amazing.

If the question has a :deal: and is a clickable, it hasn't been answered. if the question is just plain, then it has.
#1 - First thing I have to do is replace the radiator because it has a crack in it. Where could I find the part number or something and where could I order a new one?

:deal: [post=232617]#2 - I average around about 8mpg and Im just a kid, so what are some ways to get better gas milage by modifying the car. (ex: spark plugs, gear ratio, air filter, or anything else i don know about)[/post]

whatever parts store around you will have that kind of number your looking for and shit. I heard even some TYF guys buying the 3core all aluminum radiators since it was cheaper then autozone. Grab a couple gallons of coolant as well. Flush it out really well with a garden hose.

Thanks guys I got that one covered. :)

Question #2
Now For my second problem, gas milage. I average out around 8mpg and its stock. Just 162,000 miles old. What are some ways to modify the car to get better gas milage.

Iv herd you can change the air filter, spark plus, and the gears.. Are there any other ways AND do you have any tips on how to do the ones I know?

I want to lift my truck and I dont think its a good idea to if Im getting 8mpg. I would probably average our around 4mpg or 3 if I lifted it while the engine is in this state. Stupid drag coefficient.

Gears
Im not really planning on towing anything, I have a landscaping job But i just fold down the seats and put my crap in there. I also want to go snowboarding every other weekend or so coming up So i have to climb some mountains but thats really it.
Could I go as low as a 3.08 gear?

A good tune up will help some. fresh fluids. a tune or chip depending on your year. electric fans will help. BUT ALL IN ALL... you should not be getting 8mpgs stock, get your foot off the gas pedal and slow down some sucka. haha

162, holy shit!

Seamfoam that thing! I have a write up in the tech section.

Yes, recommend a TUNE-UP, new plugs (A/C Delcos are fine and OEM) and wires. You can score a MSD Coil Super Cheap, MSD Plugs are like 80 bux va JEGS. If you are balling on a budget, upgrade your AIR Filter to a K&N. If you got some bucks upgrade to a VOLANT INTAKE, b/c they make the BEST INTAKE for our trucks.

GL keep us informed!
