Does anyone know how to go about connecting the dome lights to the map lights so they all come on when the doors are open but still independently turn the individual map lights on and off irrespective of the doors being open or closed and/or the position of the switch on the dome light assembly. This would be on a 2002 Tahoe.

I actually found a way to do it for less then a dollar. I took a wire and ran it from the positive side of the dome light to the positive side of the map light. Now when the door opens the map light comes on. The bad side of this is when the map light is turned on the dome light comes on. So I replaced the wire with a diode and now the map light does not turn the dome light on but the dome light turns the map light on.

hmm, on my 05 my two map lights come on with my dome lights whenever i open the door or unlock via the remote. They also work independently if needed. Was this feature added in on the later models?

Hey, can you post up a pic of the area that you put the diode and do you know which diode you used?
