Curious if anyone can help with suggestions on diagnosing this annoying rear seat rattle coming from my '21 Tahoe. I've mentioned it to the dealer 3 times when brought in for service/recall. First two times, they same they "tightened something" but it was never it and last time they said they "can't reproduce the rattle" so nothing they can do. Granted it doesn't ALWAYS make the rattle but very often. Also seems to have no preference for smooth vs bumpy roads. When it decides to rattle it just rattles and won't stop.

I know what fixed mine. Tip up the seats and wrap the latch on the floor with several wraps of electrical tape. Or you can wrap it with thin rubber like bicycle inner tube held by tie wraps on ends. This will make it slightly harder to latch down but fixed the rattle on mine. I originally thought it was my back hatch and adjusted those bumpers but it was actually the seats. Wouldn’t hurt to check your hatch bumpers too since noise is similar.

i tried the electrical tape (several wraps) on the floor seat latches and thought it helped for a while but the rattle is still there. Just so difficult to determine where exactly. If anyone else has any experience with similar rattles would love any other thoughts.

I had 2nd seat rattle, my dealer had one tech drive, anothe sat in the back seat...and they were able to fix it...I am not sure exactly what they did, but it is certainly gone...so; net, it is possible to fix.

Was you able to fix this? Mine does this periodically.

Curious if you found a fix? I’m getting the same rear rattle on my 22 Yukon Denali. So annoying. Hopefully you have some good news! Thanks

Do you by chance have the cargo shade? That thing will rattle if retracted too...I posted about that issue here:

The owner of the company I work for had a rattle and found a completely fallen out bolt with the remaining bolts loose on the panel that holds the rear glass in place. He just happened to open the glass instead of the hatch and saw something fall out....
