HELP!!! DRL / Auto Lights

hey guys i'm new to this form

anyway i have a yukon denali 2005 MiddleEast agency which is SUCKS

i have the auto switch in my car and in the night all the lights inside the car come on but my main beam doesn't unless i turn it on / same thing goes for the DRL it only works when i open my car but once i start it it wont come on

any solution ??

When the dash sensor doesn't receive enough light, it activated "dark mode" for the Auto switch. What is supposed to happen with this is that when you keyfob Unlock or just open the door, all interior lights turn on, reverse lights turn on, DRLs turn on, and parking lights and turn signals flash a couple times. No lows turn on unless you turn the switch to turn them on, or start the vehicle. Highs only turn on with the stick. When lows are on, DRLs are not. When DRLs are on, it is daytime, thus lows are not on.

So, if I'm reading you right, you've described the stock function. However, I suggest the 4 or 6 High Mod, and to get Fogs on with your Lows as well, see how I did it. If you're looking to have DRLs on with your Lows, and vice versa, I believe that is also in that thread somewhere. I know its been done here though.

what i mean is when i drive under sun light my DRL wont work / same goes to the night the headlight wont work

(the agency disable it)

so i assumed that i must flash the ECU

i've tried the 3 times dome button but it didn't work for me

The DTR lamps only come on as part of the perimeter lighting when the system is activated. They won't come on when the truck is running unless you put it in gear. As far as the auto headlamps. They are controlled by the BCM so if there is something wrong with it I would think they wouldn't come on at all. If anything I would guess the headlamp switch itself, or maybe the ambulant light sensor is bad. Do any of the lamps come on automatically, or only just the headlamps themselves not coming on?

The dash light turn on when its dark and no its not the switch because the local agency disable it while ordering from factory so the thing now how to re program the car to use the auto function for the headlight and DRL

The light sensor works well because the dash light comes ON when its dark

went to a shop and he said that the car must be reprogrammed from scratch with MDI GM
