I'm new here thanks in advance for any advice. I have a 07 Tahoe Lt 5.3 I have a stability control and traction control light on as well as engine codes with a plethora of "U" codes being thrown my radio will cut on for about 10-15 secs and then cut off anywhere from 15 seconds to 30 seconds before repeating the same process. My dome light flickers aswell as my tag light and my back hatch doesn't open but the glass will open with my keyfob. when I pull off from a stop my transmission will jerk from 1-2nd gear but it doesn't do it everytime. I also have a misfire aswell I don't know if the misfire could be caused from an electrical issue. I'm just looking for any help to point me in the right direction of where to look and or what to do to track down a bad ground or whatever could be causing these issues. Thanks

Sounds like you have about three different issues going on. The simplest IMO is the misfire, although not a simple fix really. Once you put a scan tool on it you can figure out which cylinder has the misfire you can try Swapping ignition coils to see if the misfire “ follows”. If it doesn’t then you probably have an injector issue.
Your other electrical issues could be a grounding issue, check your grounds are all secure, there are a few that are particularly known for failing. Like the ones under truck below the driver side door.
As far as the U codes I dont have any experience with these but im sure someone does.
These are just a few leads for you to try, but IMO your truck has a few different problems that wont be cured by one fix.

I'll try the ignition coils and see if it followes I hooked my scanner to it and it's cylinder 1 and 4 misfiring I've done replaced plugs and wires next is ignition coils. I've read the "U" codes are a typical problem when you have a bad ground etc or maybe even a failing bcm that's why I'm thinking if all could be tied together besides maybe the misfire

Flickering lights and things going on and off could be a gound/power issue.
I would clean any grounds you can find and inspect the battery cables for corrosion/tightness.

If misfires on 1&4 only, perhaps worn plugs or bad plug wires or bad coils?
Swap them around and see if misfire follows.

A ground issue is what I've been thinking it is I've only owned the Tahoe for a week and it came with these problems and ik a ground issue can cause these problems just not sure which grounds it could be be I'm also going to try swapping the coil packs around because I changed the spark plugs and wires last weekend and I still have the misfire. Do you know where the main grounds are that people tend to forget about or can't see that can cause these problems?
