Yep, if they’re cracked like that I would replace them both. I like how he mentions to not use Dorman parts. Not a place I would want to use Dorman. If the code points to the front impact sensor, this vid might be of interest:
can't read srs or abs codes with the bluetooth adapters on these trucks, they wont do it, they will work on other vehicles just not these suv's, you need a wired obdii reader that will do abs/srs, it's a specific requirement, if you look on the box they usually have all the functions check marked on it depending on the model of the scanner.I’m using the BlueDriver Bluetooth Pro OBDII Scanner which claims it can read the airbag sensor.
Do they say on the box they won’t read abs or SRS on our trucks or do you have to find out the hard way?can't read srs or abs codes with the bluetooth adapters on these trucks, they wont do it, they will work on other vehicles just not these suv's, you need a wired obdii reader that will do abs/srs, it's a specific requirement, if you look on the box they usually have all the functions check marked on it depending on the model of the scanner.View attachment 259580
I haven't seen one do it yet nor anyone else on here, there is a even a new fancy pants one on the market and I asked the seller if it would read it on our trucks and they said no,Do they say on the box they won’t read abs or SRS on our trucks or do you have to find out the hard way?
So you’re saying you pretty much have to buy it and find out or ask the seller beforehand? You would think they would say they won’t work on certain vehicles.I haven't seen one do it yet nor anyone else on here, there is a even a new fancy pants one on the market and I asked the seller if it would read it on our trucks and they said no,
I have 4 or 5 different bt ones and I tried all the apps out there and none will do it, they either hang, timeout or just simply won't read it.
most of them have a little disclaimer such as this one, and oddly enough almost all the bt readers out there are based on the same chipset, they just slap there own name on it.So you’re saying you pretty much have to buy it and find out or ask the seller beforehand? Hi all! So my OBD scan tool is coming up with no codes regarding my airbag light and I’m finding myself wandering in the dark.
While replacing my steering wheel I swapped out the clock spring and airbag light is still on.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
