Help me here please

I have a problem with my 2003 GMC Yukon XL, I have replaced the knock sensor three times with the original wire, but I still have the same problem with the error codes P0332 and P0327. When I press the accelerator and keep the engine rpm at 3000 rpm, I get a third error code which is P0300.



Please help me solve this problem.

P0332, P0327: a good knock sensor will ohm between 93 and 107 ohms. Are you torquing them to spec when installing? I would also recommend using OE sensors. You might be able to ohm each one through the harness connector (grounding the other lead to the engine block). Does the engine audibly knock?

P0300: this is a random misfire. A higher level scanner will show individual cylinder misfires so you can narrow it down. But a good scanner will also let you run a CASE relearn to be sure the engine crank sensor is in sync with the cam sensor.

B1000: pull the two connectors off of the ECU and check for water migration (especially in the lower part of the connectors) and pin fitment and cleanliness. This could be the cause of the knock sensor circuit codes.

Also test for a voltage drop between the negative battery terminal and the engine, and the positive terminal and the alternator post that has the wire to the battery. These battery cables tend to rot out from the inside.

Lastly, have the battery load tested and the alternator tested. Good luck!

With all those communication codes I wouldnt even waste my time at the engine yet. I would be tracing out all the shorted to ground data lines for all the various modules. When you short a data line to a module like the PCM you either wipe the data totally that is being delivered to the PCM or it gets intermittent data which is basically useless. Your engine will never run correctly with the PCM data line shorted to ground. It appears the PCM, EBCM, BCM and IC all have their data line shorted ground which is very odd. Any chance someone has had access to your vehicle and sabotaged it? Has vehicle had a major repair such as tranny or engine being pulled out? Someone install a stereo system and mounted an amp or two? Installed anything that was screwed through the carpet to the floor?

As others noted this is a classic example for a shorted connection somewhere check for a tsb on it this may help you find the root problem
