I could not find a shock that showed the Z85 RPO code for 2015 on RockAuto. I jumped up to 2016 and found the 540-1721 listed. Looking at the 540-1721 vs the 540-1675 they look to be almost identical. Compressed length, and fully open length are identical. There are some discrepancies in weight, height, and width, but I am hoping that must be packaging information for the service part in the box. I guess I will see when I get them in a few days if they are going to work for me or not... If they don't I will order up the 540-1675...

Update!! The 540-1721 shocks worked perfectly. I was surprised at how easy it was to swap these out even with 120k miles of Minnesota road salt this rig has seen.

Those salt miles are definitely visible on the old shocks as well. Honestly impressed they lasted as long as they did, as they appear to be the original shocks.

Thanks for all of the responses and input given. It’s refreshing to get some solid support on an online forum.

Hi, thanks for making this forum. I have the same 2015 yukon sle with z85 code and have spent hours looking for the right ones! I almost bought the z95 on rockauto and am glad I didn't. I just wanted to make sure after a year if everything was still working good with these shocks as I am about to order them.

Z95 is Magneride.

Z85 is your suspension package. For 2017 it's called Premium Smooth Ride with Air Leveler.

NHT is your max trailering package.

Your rig was made to tow the maximums.
I could use some help.....looking to have a 3.5" lift put on my wife's 2016 Tahoe. All the lifts say they won't work with Autoride or Magneride. All the RPO Codes show that it does not have either.....or am I reading them wrong. I have NHT, Z82 and Z85. And yes there are Air shocks in the rear of the Tahoe. You can hear the compressor running when adults sit in the back seat. Any help would be great.

I don't think the aftermarket has longer air shocks for a lifted suspension. Well, one that would last. If yours were mine I would call Custom Offsets and talk to someone on the cusp of new technology.

Can you not just lengthen the rear ride height sensor rods and have the air leveling give you an extra inch or however much? Asking for a friend.
