2006 Denali 6.0L - Oil drip every 10 seconds while running. The whole back side of the block is wet all the way back to the transmission and oil drips off the tranny, bellhousing and oil filter.. It looks like its coming from the top somewhere? I changed the oil cooler gasket, flywheel is dry ruling out rear main, valve covers are dry.. Replaced the oil pressure sensor a few months ago with some cheap ebay unit and has never worked right (bounces from 0-80 sometimes stays right around 40) there is some gunk back there but isn't wet to the touch.. The truck runs great otherwise.. Any ideas? Thanks.

Have you checked on the rear of the valve covers?

Have you actually put eyes on the oil pressure sending unit lately? The seal may have failed on something that cheap.

Edit: remove your Right front wheel well liner for more accessibility to use an inspection mirror and flashlight. Get a can of brake clean and spray down clean what you can with the engine off. Then have some one start the engine while you have eyes on the backside of the engine. If it's pouring that badly then it'll reveal itself rather quickly.

Checked your oil cooler lines for cracks and loose fittings?

Id inspect the oil pressure sender with engine running. Could be it blew a seam which would explain why your oil pressure gauge is bouncing.(the sender isnt reading correctly because of the leak through the senders seam)

I used a inspection mirror, the valve covers are dry and there was some wetness around the oil pressure sensor but when I managed to get my hand down in there it was just old gunk buildup not raw oil? I was thinking that too with the sensor but if that was the case wouldn't it jump from 0-40 not 0-80?

Depends on the size of the leak if it were in the sensor seam. Wipe it down real good and come back and check it after running engine.
