Hi all. My trans shudders at freeway/country road speeds. Before I had some hesitation and it wouldn't downshift right. The dist must have come loose and turned as I gave it a tune up and all that went away. Now between like 50 and at least 75 when I give it a little gas it shudders until I step on it or let off. Other than that it runs and shifts great , no problems in the city.
I tried the step on the brake thing with kinda mixed results. It seemed to go away a couple times and it seemed like it went away and came back when I let up. I am planning a drive tomorrow morning when the traffic is less.
New cap , rotor , plugs , wires. The only time I've seen the check engine light is when I start it or when I checked the timing.
I will get some of the 'lubegard' to try but , usually , an additive of some kind never works for me. Anything else I can check??
This might help ,hey??? 1994 Yukon 2 door ,350 4x4 . 99% sure it's a 4L60E. I'm sure I forgot something , let me know. Thanks

Sounds like a torque converter issue

Checked codes today , got a 42 which would be correct as I disconnected the wire for timing. Nothing else. Tried the 'lubegard' , no luck. It seems to go away when the brake is lightly applied. What is this telling me?
