Help!! U shaped clip fell from auto shift linkage.

Looking for rattle noises under my dash of 06 duramax 2500. This clip Or staple looking thing is laying on my auto shift linkage area under dash. See pic. Any idea or help where it’s from? Thanks.

Shift cable retaining clip on a bracket near the firewall; in the video at 3:00 and 6:00. I reinstalled mine when I found it on the floor.

@Fless This truck suffers from the intermediate steering shaft rattle,not so much when turning but terrible when going over bumps.
Is there a thread here on this?
Ive tried the gear clamp but no difference thanks.

Maybe this one. Search "ISS" and there should be some comments on lubricating it, too.

here is some good info on the intermediate stearing shaft If you have a GMT800 body style truck/SUV you probably know about the intermediate steering shaft making the horrible knocking/popping when turning and going over bumps. Here's a little walkthrough to help you replace that steering...

This may not be the exact part you need, but something like this should do the trick, unless the steering shaft itself is damaged:
