So I have an 03' denali xl with 90k on it...

Today it was cold on both the pass and drivers side in the am, but come this afternoon it was hot air on the drivers side and cold air on the pass side and rear a/c... doesnt matter the setting...

What do I look for? Does anyone have a diagram or can walk me through this, I know its prolly an actuator door but have never worked under the dash before...

I appericate any and all help...

Your Air Temp Actuator is going out. It is about $160-170 at the dealer with an account and not TOO hard to change. It is located under the dash on the passenger side, you remove the heater assemble shield and it is directly on the bottom of the heater fan housing. The hardest part of the job is getting the last screw out at the console side of the shield. It is a really simple install, but that is what they do when they go bad.

Now, that being said, you may try to disconnect the batteries for about 15 minutes, I have seen a few of those that reset when that was tried.

Yes Sir, there are two of those and they are the same.

Thats a plus for sure!!!

Now I just gotta find it in my storage unit, its buried but I know where about it is!! I believe this may be covered under my used car warranty but if not I know what to do now...

Appericate it so much.

I would definitely find out if your warranty will cover it, then you don't have to be the one to fight that ONE DANG SCREW! The whole job could be done in about 30-45 minutes IF you can get that screw out and back in in a timely manner, but speaking from experience, that screw is a PITA...lol

Dropping it off to my dealer on Thursday am, I told him the air temp actuator was shot, explained how it was hot on my side the drivers side but cold on the pass and rear air, he said it shouldnt be an isssue and would lend me another truck/suv to drive for the day...

Not to bad, just hope they can get it fixed within a day or whatever...

Thanks again Chris !!!

Worst case I gotta do the job myself but hey! At least I do have the part already!!!
