Hello, my 99 has the original dash with a cover and a double din panel. The DDIN panel's clips do not work because the dash is cracked (please see attached pictures). Can anyone suggest a creative way to secure the panel to the dash? As you can see, the previous owner attempted to use screws but those eventually popped out.IMG-6801.jpg

I would suggest running a bead of clear high quality silicon caulk in the transition area all around as far as you can, and then move the cover into place, and secure it with masking tape or duct tape until the silicon caulk dries.

My son has one of those metra panels (the supplied clips are junk) and cracked dash in the same place as yours. I rolled a thin string of butyl tape under the bezel which sort of helps to hold it in place but allows it to be removed. It’s that black rubber tar-like tape that they use on the weather sheet in the door panel.

Mine was cracked up as well. And east302 is right, the supplied clips suck. My bottom clips worked ok except for the right side (while looking at the dash). Here are some pics of how I did it. Will the face plate sit against the dash any better than what your showing? As you can see, my cup holder looks a little funky now, but I can live with it. Hope this helps.
