I've been trying to figure out something different to do to my frontend, I thought about the 07-10 escalade frontend conversion or the rangerover style insert but I'd need to change the hood and fenders to a Silverado (plus I started thinking about it and they look kinda cheap, haven't seen any in person yet), any input or thoughts would be helpful, thanks, Dan

the "conversion" kits look like pure crap :imo:

A 07 Escalade conversion would be sweet, how much would it run you?

the 07 escalade kit is around $2600 (i think it only includes fenders, hood and some hardware, plus I'd need to do and get on my own: paint, headlights and grill

No offense dan but WHY? What do you NOT like about the front end you have now (and which is it btw, you never said what you own?).

I saw a price for a complete 07+ esky kit at $4,500 + all the custom work to get it to fit your wrong generation truck. At that point you have to quetion if it is even cost effective.

IMO: Once a conversion gets to the point of being a mail order bolt-on kit, it isn't worth doing anymore. It's 'played out'.

Couldn't agree more. Remember a few years ago when escalade front ends started popping up on every other silverado? I guess I don't really understand the conversion unless its into something better looking or unique. a GMT900 Escalade is not. That "range rover" conversion is about the foulest thing they make for these trucks as well.

i have a 01 Yukon XL, I had since it since it was new and I keep doing different things to it so I don't get bored of it. The only thing i like about the 07 Escalade is the head lights I would not put a Escalade grill on it. Its just that I'm tired of the Yukon head lights, maybe I'll tint out the side lenses of the head lights put a SS style bumper cover and a roll pan the back that might give me the little bit of change that i need.

Just trade it in on a 07 escalade. Then you'll have the front end you want and a better motor.
