May need an electrical/stereo guru to chime in.
2001 Tahoe LT with NON-Bose OEM stereo with factory subwoofer.
Factory sub was blown so I put this one in the stock box:
Polk Audio db840DVC 8-Inch Dual Voice Coil Subwoofer (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0016GV1UU)
Upon getting it installed it sounds bad, the speaker is creating a lot of buzzing/rattling noise.
My question is whether the Polk sub that I put in brand new was bad, whether I have it wired wrong (ie should it be set up for 2 ohm or 4 ohm?) Is the Non-Bose factory deck/amp capable of running that?
Anyway to test the sub to see if it is still good?
Thanks everyone, can upload a youtube video of what it sounds like if that helps.
