When I put it in drive from park, it hesitates, takes about 5 sec for it to actually engage. If i dont wait, it just kinda slams in. From reverse to drive, only about a sec, and all other gears shift just fine. Fluid is red as it should be, and it doesn't matter if its cold start or not. Tried searching, found nothing.
Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Adam

Sounds like a possible shift solenoid or gearing / clutch issue maybe.... Any check engine light ?? I just had an issue resolved with a hard shift from 1-2 at 200 deg. trans temp. Turned out to be a torque converter clutch solenoid had burned up. Easy fix... Have a tranny specialist check it out. Avoid the dealer if possible. Mine wanted to remove the unit and start a tear down !

No lights, no codes.

Honestly, the dealer would be the last place I would go in this town.
