Hi! I am new here and have recently been experiencing problems with my 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe LT. My dad bought it new back in '03, and gifted it to me for my 16th birthday.
Recently, after I've been driving for around 15-20 minutes, my Tahoe begins to act up. When I accelerate, it hesitates and lurches forward when it shifts from 1st to 2nd gear, and then again when going from 2nd to 3rd gear, but slightly less severe. Also, the engine light will randomly pop on, stay on for maybe 3-4 days, then go back off. (Possible misfire?)
It's been a great truck, and has 245k miles with the original engine and transmission. I know it's probably an engine and/or trans issue, and I'm just trying to see if any of y'all have experience with potentially similar issues. It's been in and out of the shop this past month and each time the engine keep popping on when I get it back.
I don't have much experience with cars, so I thought I would come here and see if y'all could offer any advice on what it could be.
Thank you!
