you have any thoughts on an extended warranty?

anyone ever buy one or dont feel need for warranty

Cool. Right when I got mine my chrome door handles on both Driver side doors broke. Replaced for free under warranty. Funny that you mention that extended warranty-- I'm now at 35,8xx miles nearing my 36k bumper-to-bumper full warranty... i'm heavily debating getting this because I hear at 50k/70k/100k things WILL break, and the warranty is a small price to pay for that-- especially if you have an LTZ with AutoRide using an air compressor, etc.

Isn't your current warranty 5 year 100k miles? You should have a long time before you have to worry about it. Myself, I don't get extended warranties only because of the infrequency of needing to use them. When something comes up that needs fixed I just dip into my Emergency Fund so it's kinda like a self warranty without paying another company for the same service :) With that said, there's nothing wrong with getting an extended warranty if you're just wanting that piece of mind.

That is the powertrain warranty you speak of. The bumper to bumper is only to 36k : /

i'm more worried about the little things then major...little things warranty is only good for 3 yrs... i say this cause i had to have 3 door locks replaced..i'm sure it will add up anything else stupid happens

noone on tahoeforum. talks to each other..you get no help.. some random guy named shaggy sent me a message about this forum..very glad he did.. ..that other one is a waist of time if you ask me...

I also plan on keeping this vehicle for a while. Last one was a Tahoe and it was modded but not like this one... only bc I did not know about this forum then lol.

Tahoeforum seems like a good BETA layout of what is now the evolved TYF.. so many more people here and it helps that the esky/yukon/tahoe are all GMT900 vehicles and have interchangeable parts :Handshake:

We plan on keeping our Burb for about 15 years. Pretty much by the time the kids are done riding with us and will have their own cars and drive each other around  Then we'll probably move the wife down to a Hoe or Kon (or whatever GM has at that time) :D

My attention span is short enough that the 2 1/2 year mark seems to be the point I get bored and am ready to move on to something different. I try to keep the wife's around longer ...

Amazing how much an ['s] changes a sentence. I did't notice it the first time around and read that you get bored and switch wives every 2 1/2 years because their warranty runs out. I had questions about that ...

Welcome aboard ltzhoe08 ... if you get an warranty extension just make sure it's the GM one and not some aftermarket 3rd party warranty.
