I think sometimes it depends on the brand- like clothing, not all large shirts are the same size. But for the most part , I believe the whitest color temperature is gonna be in the 4300- 4500 kelvin range. BTW, Chip, your eyes ARE going bad, lol:rotflmao:

I don't know. I've got 4100K Silverstar Ultras in my HIs and lows. I know they're supposed to be the purest white you can get, but I still think they look yellowish and somewhat "dirty". The 6000Ks are brilliant!

I have 6000k in my fogs also but to me they look blueish. Maybe it's the brand, maybe MY eyes are going bad. lol.

Yea, I looked at a few kelvin charts and some of them seem different. One says 4300 is the whitest and another one says 5500 is the whitest. Seems like the only way to know for sure is to see the lights in person.

Mine are DDM if that makes a difference, and if you look at their color chart on their site (use to be on Sylvania's site), their brightest white is around 4500 on the chart and that's what I have! Like mentioned before already, might be the difference between brands!!

6k is blue, 5k is pretty close to white but when you stand back the headlights are still blue and when against the garage door they're blue.

Agreed! I bet you could buy the same temp from 2 different places and they would look different.

I have some 4300ks in my highs, they're not white ass white and not yellow ass yellow. Inbetween, you'd like them.
