If you have 35w try upgrading to 55w. I have 35W 4500K and it is white. The only blue I notice is around my cutoff. I don't know if you are using DDM or not but there was a thread in here somewhere where they talked about DDM was lying about the ratings on their kits. They used the same bulb for a range of kits. For example they sent out 6000K bulb for the 4500K-6000K kits b/c they didn't carry other bulbs in that range.

Mine are pretty darn white to me, too. There is some variance from manufacturers, but I don't know what to tell you. I've had 4300 and 5000k DDM bulbs in both wattages and I probably couldn't tell you which was which if you showed them to me and had me guess. They all looked pretty much the same.

I have the whole headlight assembly replaced that came with 4300K HID's and they are bright white (would be more yellow white, than blue white) to me anyway. Pretty much an all around white.
