Hidden harnesses in the PPV

So I ave been reading through the info on the wonderful forum and have seen references to hidden harnesses on the PPV like the DIC switch and the trailer lights.

Are there any others? I have heard there is on for the center console but have not seen any information on how to get to it. I'm hoping to locate one on my 2013 so when I install my center console I have at least have power to the 12volts.

I just installed a center console in my 14 and the only harness I found was a two wire deal with a red and a black wire. I believe my console came out of a 12 but there is nothing to plug it into to. There is a usb plug, a giant harness for I assume the amp and whatnot, and a four wire plug. I'd guess the red and black wire are power but honestly I didn't check. I would like to get the cigarette lighter plugs powered up, but that is a project for another day.

That red and black plug has power and ground. My console didn’t have a plug that directly plugged in so I ended up just cutting it and using spade connectors to power the two 12v’s in the console. The usb I just used an extension and a Y for my head unit and the usb plug under the hvac. It’s aftermarket though

I believe in the overhead console there’s a plug for a mirror. I’ve been meaning to pick up an auto dim but haven’t checked to see if the plug is there for certain.

the console I picked up looks like it has controls for rear air, headphone jacks and 2 12v outlets. One inside and one on the back. I'm hoping to get power working so I can install a wireless charger in the lid for my phone

The plug is in the harness next to the black sensor bolted to the floor between the seats.

Thanks for the link. i had seen that before but could not find it again. Downloaded it this time

I had a quick look again when I go home this evening and managed to find the red and black wired harness, Now I just need to see if the plug matches my console, and if so, what gets power.

It won’t. The console will have a rather large plug that would normally plug into one from under the dash. I ended up stripping the 12v+ wiring and usb out of it and just using that.

That is correct, there is a plug you can add a dimming mirror, and also one of those mirrors that has a video screen
