the console I picked up looks like it has controls for rear air, headphone jacks and 2 12v outlets. One inside and one on the back. I'm hoping to get power working so I can install a wireless charger in the lid for my phone

If it has the actual audio controls, that won't work. USB etc is easy. I actually put a wireless charger under the lid (the plastic indent/handle). You'd need one with two coils though (I bought a cheap two coil one, took it apart and hooked it up. If you get the power from near the red/black wire.. that power is "keyed".

Thanks for the link. i had seen that before but could not find it again. Downloaded it this time :)

I had a quick look again when I go home this evening and managed to find the red and black wired harness, Now I just need to see if the plug matches my console, and if so, what gets power.

That plug doesn't match. I have done all that. Put a console in, wired it with USB chargers, a wireless charger, I put in the DM NAV radio, with bose (knock-off) amp and a HDD with music. I also added a camera, that work with the radio and a upgraded mirror with a little screen in it.

I posted all the write ups here a long while ago (haven't been here in a while).

It won’t. The console will have a rather large plug that would normally plug into one from under the dash. I ended up stripping the 12v+ wiring and usb out of it and just using that.

My console has 2 plugs. A large one and a small one. I know it wont fit the large one.

It won't fit the small on either. The small one should be four wire with a female end. The black and red plug is also female and only two wires. I was hoping it would be that easy too. Maybe if I was a millionaire...

If the power on the red/black is switched. then maybe i can put in a junction box to get power to the two 21v outlets and a hardwire power for my dashcam.

I'll have to do some research on the PPV wiring to see if there is anything usable in the left over police harness as well.

Stopped at Harbor Freight to pick up a few things and got a 12v test light. It turns out the red wire in the floor harness is always on, I can work with that. I'll need to get my meter and test the connections in the console to know what to wire up. :)

While I was poking wires, I found a purple wire in the loom from the police equipment that is also hot, but only when the ignition is on. SO now I have a place to get permanent power for my dash cam. I also found out that the spotlight wires in the drivers pillar are still hot as well, which is good because I would really like to put a spotlight back on the drivers side.

Forgot about that, one of the first things I did was add radio controls to my steering wheel.

Just swapped in an auto dim mirror and once you pull the overhead console the plug is tucked up in the headliner. Could use some sort of cover over it since it’s just wrapped in electrical tape.
