High Mileage Oil and filters

My 99 is about to turn 100K and I was thinking about using Mobil 1 High Mileage this time instead of their Extended Performance 5W-30.
Does anyone use any of the HM oils out there and is there a benefit to using them?
Thanks...

I use it in my kids Cherokee's as they are well over 100,000 miles. I run them 6000 miles between oil changes and don't see any difference between the HM and reg Mobil 1 stuff. I posted below what the web site says about it.

Mobil 1 High Mileage 10W-30 is designed for higher mileage vehicles and provides the following benefits:

Extra anti-wear additive helps protect critical engine parts.

Reduces the sludge and deposits that conventional oils can leave behind.

Contains a special seal conditioner to help recondition seals and prevent leaks.

Higher viscosity formula helps reduce oil burn-off and leakage.

Meets API SL/CF

ILSAC GF-3 quality

I am curious about this too. I am thinking about going to synthetic on my 03 tahoe that has 97k on it and was looking at some of the high mileage oils and pennzoil platinum. Probably will end up with Mobile 1 I hear good stuff about it.

I run Mobil 1 fully synthetic High Mileage in my Tahoe with 146k miles. Does the job that's for sure.

@92 silverado: I wouldn't run Pennzoil if I was you, ive heard from a few people it's one of the crappiest oils out there, but that's just what ive heard, not sure if there is truth behind it. However id stick with Mobil 1 just to be safe.

I went with the Mobol 1 truck/suv 5w-30 this time. Wanted to go with the high mileage 5w-30, but could only find 10w-40 around here.
I was just a bit curious if the marketing hoopla on the bottle was legit or if it's all the same oil in different bottles.
