If your planning on boost First thing I would do is the 80e swap. Get that ironed out, then replace the oil pump on your 5.3, stud the heads, do LS9 gaskets, and talk to some people that have boosted 5.3's and get their recommendation on ring gap, you could even stud the mains and your rod caps if your worried about the bottom end.

Then start building the hot side followed by the cold side, pick out a charger sized for what your goal is, and an adequate fuel system.

Deerhunter, 457k is a ton of miles. I cant remember if it was 500k or 1 million miles but a guy with a Silverado put that many on his truck with the original motor and trans and GM actually gave him a new truck. Maybe if you're lucky you might get a free truck out of GM...

That was my thinking too, just gotta make it to 500K:)
