Screw that crap.. I found several 4L60E here for about $300-$500 with a 3 month warranty. 6 or 7 bolts to mount transmission, adjust yokes, install driveshaft, add fluids and save yourself some $$$. But don't know how often you come across trannys in central TX? How much are they charging you by the way to flush and fix trans?
I would seriously offer them $200 CASH and have them add it to the bill for the INSURANCE!! LOL haha.. SERIOUSLY..

Around here, Trannys are double that, and NO WARRANTY.. I did find on in Waxahachie for $395 or $495 plus 150 shipping w a year warranty. So I may go that route. Since I now know the filter is clogged up, and I get a discount (working at a parts store has its advantages) I may try a fluid and filter change first and see what happens. Go the cheapest route first right? I know that will only be a temporary fix to the larger problem, but it will get me back on the road. And out of my wifes Durango. LOL.
