Not to be a jerk but these ideas (paricularly the black grill and wheels ideas) would look like complete crap on his ride!! :yucky:

What do you guys think about this grill/light settup?
Grill-http://www.topgearautosport.com/part/A101LDKC150/Chevy_Tahoe_1995-1999_Black_Billet_Grille.html

Lights-http://www.topgearautosport.com/part/A101LSC2102/Chevy_Tahoe_1994-1999_Black_Projector_Headlights_and_Bumper_Lights_Set.html

It all fits perfect for my budget, but am I taking it too far with the black? Or should I stick to the chrome look??
:hmm: these do look kinda good....

Welcome to the forum. As for the grille, meehhhh, i wouldnt put it on my truck :) lol but its your ride.

also i wouldnt buy any other lights then TYC, all the other ones, no matter on the price are all garbage. They leak, they fog, they dont adjust right, they suck, etc etc. haha

X2 on this. The ones you have linked are ok but the more I look at them the more they just don't with your nice, clean Hoe! If you're going to do anything past stock on your front end I'd just get some billet inserts and maybe bowtie and call it a day. A lot of times clean and simple is the answer :waytogo:

A buddy of mine photoshop'd my pic so I could see what it'd look like blacked out. And your all right about the grill. Wayyy too similar with a navigators grill and won't flow good with the rest of my hoe. But the stock grill I have now would look great powdercoated black, along with the chrome on my front and rear bumper. I wish I had the picture to show, but I'm sure a bit of imagination will make you agree also.

Now as for the lights. Kyc? I haven't had a chance to look em up yet, but I'm guessing these are those ultra clear ones that look almost stock?

Today I purchased a new sound system that I'm almost finished with. It consists of a JL audio 500 watt amp, a crunch 600 watt amp, Rockford fosgate speakers in all doors, Rockford fosgate tweeters, and an Orion compition 10' sub. I'll have pics posted within the hour.

Here's the system. All installed by me in about an hour 1/2. First time ever doing this.

Next project starts tomorrow. Remote start alarm, and possibly new idler arms, pitman, and tie rods.

I think your right. Yesterday my system was playing perfect. Then today, My kenwood excelon headunit kept putting itself into "protect" mode, which locks the unit from damage. I read up on the problem and found that the kenwood headunit does this when there's a short, or a surge of energy, to "protect" itself. I found lots of people saying all that happened was there ground wire was loose or not in a good enough location. I rechecked all my speaker wiring, and moved the ground. And what do you know...no more protect mode. Haha.

Im a little late but sweet hoe man :) TYC is the way to go. Everbody on here swears by them and Im getting ready to order up my own with a set of HIDs. All I would do upfront is get the grille inserts and the new headlights. Color matching is always sweet though and my new grille and inserts will be colormatched.

Never too late for a compliment, haha so thanks raptorforme! So just a quick question for you about colormatching grills. I know a stock grille is just plastic, and I'm pretty sure all aftermarket grille's are too, so how do you go about painting it? Must you strip the chrome off first? Use a ething paint spray or primer, and then color? I know very little about paint, so any info will help. Can you powder coat plastic? Thanks guys.
