Undercover
there is another thread for the swiss cheese airbox
http://www.tahoeyukonforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=14022
but i thought i would show my work for my CAI
ok so i did mine and i can not express enough how impressed i was with the improvement
heres some pics of what i did
so when i removed the airbox as shown above i saw the plate it sits on can be removed
so i did to see what was underneath and its a perfect spot for air to shoot up
so i removed the plate and decided to cut a hole in it
i then cut hole in the bottom of the airbox
to keep any debris from getting in i then took some screen cut it to size and staple gunned and hot glued it on
now for the air tube from the MAF to the TB
so i removed the baffled plastic from the maf to the tb and replaced it with flex tin hose for furnace vents it came in like a 3ft chunk 4" in diameter i then used hose clamps to hold it on, works well and i think it looks not to shabby
and thanks to an idea from the hoe92 i coated with box liner to make it black and help seal it
hope you enjoy it
Furnace vent $14, Can of Bedliner $10, two 5" hose clamps, k&n filter $40 and the rest was free just a little work
