I'm a lead foot, and I am getting 16.1mpg combined (2876 miles). I have also done more than normal idling, and quite a bit of in-town driving (65%).

I am content.

2005 gmc yukon denali 6.0 awd. 89 octane, mid grade fuel at 711/alon. . Avg about 14mpg at 70mph. 12mpg at 75mph. Where you put fuel also makes a difference on mine. Mpg drop when use Murphy usa, circle k, Valero or speedway. 91 octane makes no noticeable difference on mine.

I logged every gallon of gas I put into my Tahoe since I bought it with 225k miles haha

My truck is 2001 Z71 tahoe. 5.3L and the 3.73 gears I believe. It also has the AWD transfercase.

I am up to 240k and blew up 5.3L. Was my fault motor was good as new. Blew it up tinkering.

Best I ever got was 18mpg if memory serves me right. This was on highway for roadtrip.

Typical is 12mpg as my truck lives on forest service roads going naybe 25mph over ruff roads.

I get around 16 mpg in town though. Very careful with gas.

We will see what 6.0L does. I hopped it up a bit with upgraded cam, springs, and lifters. May take a few months to get decently tuned as well.

2007 Yukon XL Denali with 6.2L 115k miles.. Generally I average about 12MPG the roads I drive are a mix of 55-70mph.
This last weekend pulling a 5k Travel Trailer, averaged 10.5MPG.

I hear there is a tuning mod that can help with MPG depending on your driving habits but I have not looked into it yet.

I know they say if you're buying a big SUV you shouldn't care about the gas mileage but I'm not one of those. I would be quite interested to know what our courageous buyers are seeing especially on the 5.3L. Trips, combined city highway, from the DIC or hand calculated all will be appreciated. How fast you drive, load of vehicle, etc.

2020 Yukon, 5.3 4wdr, 14,000 miles. I am averaging 21.5 overall. I use cruise control when ever I can, the vehicle on the current tank is running 22.5. I had a couple of 500 hundred mile trips on one tank of fuel. Love the vehicle, not one service issue since new, excluding o8l changes.

We have two Denali’s with the 6.2 liter. The 2014, with the 6 speed transmission gets 15-16 mpg on the highway and 12-13 around town. The 2018, with the 10 speed transmission gets 21 to 24 on the highway at 75. In town it gets 13-25 generally.
The 2018 is the best highway/trip vehicle I have ever owned. Smooth, comfortable and powerful.
