2021 GMC Yukon Denali Diesel with 4WD. I'm currently averaging 25mpg on the first 1350 miles. I recently averaged 32mpg on a relatively flat 100 mile highway trip with the cruise set at 72 mph. Significant mpg improvement over my previous 2001, 2007 and 2015. Also nice to be able to go 650+ miles between fill ups.

2020 Yukon, 5.3 4wdr, 14,000 miles. I am averaging 21.5 overall. I use cruise control when ever I can, the vehicle on the current tank is running 22.5. I had a couple of 500 hundred mile trips on one tank of fuel. Love the vehicle, not one service issue since new, excluding o8l changes.
That must be almost 100% Hwy driving?

Reason #32 to look for Dmax. Diesel usually is within a dime of RUL and you can go at least 40% further on it....
That really depends on where you live. It was 50 cents a gallon more her in WI for a long time. More like 25 cents now. How much DEF do they use?

If you are not towing, they prob use less than a gallon per thousand miles, which is about the price of a cup of coffee at any convenience store. People always complain about diesels and the price to run and maintain them, which is absolutely negligible over petrol models vs the mileage and seat of the pants torque they deliver. These same people will drop hundreds on eating out, or Starbucks, etc and think nothing of it. Everyone can spend it any way they want, But I'll pay for a little DEF to get 550+ mile range and 25+ MPG in a huge vehicle like this....

21 Tahoe Z71.

20-23mpg highway

16 around town, but as low as 13mpg in winter around town.

Seems like the 21 gets worse than the 16 LT got. Still a great truck anway—maybe not broken in yet!
This is me as well

'08, mostly rural driving. Barely breaks 13 even with the system cutting out half the cylinders.
But it was a full tax writeoff, and that was the point.

Took a round trip from Dallas to Los Angeles. Averaging anywhere from 18-22 mpg. I have the 5.3L V8 (2WD) LT with tow package. I recorded my trip back to Texas. I filled up 5 times at about ~1/4 of a tank left.

alot of naysayers and poo-pooers here.
posted befire and laughed at the " experts" call me a liar.
22 mpg combined with 25 mpg highway with a CUSTOM tune on a 4x4 2003 yukon slt , 5.3 v8 cruise control on and no lead foot.
dont tow anything , dont have anything to tow, on 87 octane regular.
say what you want and welcome too it but true it is and happy I am.
I took thw trouble to learn how to tune it, been tuning gas engines for 53 years and nevee regretted it.
Ok Ready For The "NO YOU CANT GUYS"
read here often but post very little, not an expert like most, just a learner and hard worker.

What kind of speeds did you run? I know some of those limits in west tx and arizona can get up there.

Good feedback and good data, thanks.
