I did the 6 inch RCX lift and then lowered it down.
I have just the add a leaf in the rear (ditched the 4 inch block) and cranked the torsion bars down all the way so I am sitting at about 4 inches in the front and 2 in the rear with 285s. (Sense the RCX kit only has a 4 inch drop bracket in the front this gives me perfect suspension geometry back)
Although costing around a grand to do, the truck rides better now then it did stock.

a grand?

i got my lift kit for free
someone owed me money
but im sorry u lowered it back down! lol
personal preff tho i guess

Hey, if I was to get a 6" lift, would the thing feel feel really top heavy with the 265/75/16's? The tires have around 20K miles on them, but they haven't worn at all. The Goodyear Dura tracs are bad ass tires.

I think I'm gonna do the 6" lift instead of the 6.0L LQ4 for now. I've got the 4L80E on the way with the torque converter. I'm gonna go ahead and do the Dual Cardinal driveshaft so I can fit the 80E so I might as well go ahead and do the lift as well.

What lift should I go with, anyone doing any sales or anything I haven't heard of?
I'm thinking rough country, input?

go with a 6"..you will be much happier...you can always decrank it and have a smaller block in the back to be at a 5 or so...it will ride so much better then keys crank and blocks, and you wont have to worry about rubbing...i guarentee if you go smaller, you will wish you went bigger from the get go..my boy was going to run a crank keys and block but i talked him into a 6" now..can always go bigger from there without spending much more

Or do a true 6 and then later down the road you can always drop to a 4 really cheap OR add a 3 inch body lift for pretty cheap... i think a 6 inch is the best as far as thinking about the future

+1 on the 6 idea it gives u a good advantage u can go higher
or lower it down but i think when u do a 6 u will be happy
i already wanna go higher im gunna thro my 37s on and see how it looks and if i dont like it
im gunna throw on a 3 body lift

ive been debating about a 4 or 6 for a while but seems i should get a 6 instead. id only want to run 35s at the biggest. was thinking a 3 bodylift first but i guess i should save up and be happy with a 6 lift instead
