Hi.
First post and from Sweden so spelling and grammar will be as good as I can. ;)

Have a Tahoe 2002 with automatic headlight's and at the same time T62 (DRL delete), not a good combination in my opinion. Those options should have been deleted both or in working order, not separated. Now my headlight's are totally out when it's day and at the dusk I can't use foglights and parkinglight because the automatic headlight's will go on.

We have here that we can use the foglights as DRL and as long it's not dark it's ok by law.

So now I do wonder how do I delete the automatic turn on? Is it a hardware or does it require some programming?

Thanks. :)

you can only disable it each time you start the truck otherwise it would need to be programmed out. to disable it each time I believe you can press the dome light button 3 times in quick succession and you should hear a electronic "ding" sound indicating it has been disabled. (I am going off of memory, I could be wrong)

I think I need it more explained. Have trying it in all ways I can imagine.

Door closed
Light off
Light on
Car on
Car off
Have opened the door between trys if needed reset, did even take out the key in the ignition.

But no response other then disco-light when I did press the dome override. :D

I am doing it wrong?
Must the headlight be activated by the module via the sensor for it to respond by override the automatic function?

Yeah think I need some more help. :D

So close... try pushing the dome light button 4 times. With the driver's door open, the interior lights will go on and off but at the 4th press of the button, they'll come back on and you'll probably hear a chime.

Please let us know if that works....

ya I was close, it also might not work if it wasn't originally from the usa

This procedure applies only to vehicles first sold in the United States.
When necessary, you may turn off the Automatic Headlamp System and the Daytime Running Lamps (DRL) feature by following these steps. When the system is turned off, the headlights will not automatically come on when it becomes dark outside.
1. Turn the ignition to RUN.
2. Press the DOME OVERRIDE button four times within six seconds.
After the fourth press of the button, a chime will sound informing you the system is off.
The system will revert back to the automatic mode when the ignition is turned off and on again.

Thanks both. :)

Sadly it doesn't work on my car.
It's not from the states, sold new in Norway.
When I do look around on the car I have more Canadian things as km on the speedometer, oil pressure are in kpa you's are well in bar?
And my cruise control are a green thing that's pop up on the cluster.
So I am guessing my car have not your standard.
