What kind of prep and paint did you use? Links?

I had my buddy who paints professionally mix me up some black automotive paint and he put it in a spray can. He also gave me some etching primer and some clear with hardener in a sray can as well. I just scuffed up the chrome with 180, primed, sprayed color, cleared, watersanded, buffed!:Handshake:

Perfect! Thanks for that. Truly appreciated! :rocking:

I have a friend that works at a body shop painting. I'll have to see if he can hook me up with a can of Maroon paint for mine.

You have to unbolt the the bowtie and it's held on by 2 10mm speed nuts I believe. Take off the the black engine shroud and you will be able to see down the back side of grille and access the bolts and tabs. There's about 10+ little black tabs on each that are pressure fitted to hold on to the truck, get a screw driver prize up a little to release them. Do the same for the bottom.

Hopefully this made since. I'll go ahead and warn you it's no easy task and can be time consuming.

Good luck!:Handshake:

Thanks,

Thanks. I'll go out and take a look later to get a better picture of what you're talking about. I might wait until the newness wears off before I attempt it. :D
