How do these plugs look?

Slightly blurry pics with what I see but #1 does seem like it is getting a bit to much fuel but your spider change out should fix that. Other then dirtiness they seem to look okay otherwise. No signs of any major anomalies.

TYVM. I have no clue how long they were installed.

They did not show any sign of oil or coolant contamination as far as I could see.

(I gotta get a higher Mega Pixel Camera!)

Say, Sunlit, how long have you been studying/working with the Vortec Engine?

You have so much knowledge.

Have had my own since 2010 but have worked on the gmt400 platform for number of years on and off as fleet vehicles in aviation and in use of gse and what not. It was not till 2004 that I really spent a lot more time on the engine. I first wanted a 454 one back in 1996 in a cclb dually but could not swing $700+ a month in payments for 5 years. Would like to still get one one day but just don't have the money right now and if I did I am not sure what would happen to the Tahoe. I still want a 2005 burb. The 454 would still be ideal as I can mod it quite a bit and tow a trailer with my stuff and a burb on it and maybe turn to Tahoe in to a full time toy of sorts. Time will tell.

My wife wants us to drop a 454 big block into her El Camino.:boti:

The carrot is I get to keep (her) low mileage small block for my Elky.
(Which currently has a 231 3.8l Buick V6 installed... So I gotta swap tranny also as it doesn't have the universal bellhousing...)

Aha, so simple, I just buy her a th400/454 and I get a 350/350?

Wait, what just happened?
