How do you hook up your ipod?

If you dont care about being able to control it with the steering wheel controls you can do this for less than 5 bucks. Its very easy to do.

I just have a 3.5mm cable from the ipod to the stock deck. don't know if the NBS hoes have the aux connection on them like the NNBS.

I found that the previous owner had a xm mod. installed. All I did was unplug the antenna, saw that it had a jack that fit into the headphones of my iPod and I was good to go. Slapped in a panavise, fabbed a cradle out of some aluminum I had laying around, hid the wire and bada-boom... Doesn't charge my iPod but it took me 20min. and it didn't cost me a dime. I'll try and post some pics soon.

I have a 9835 + kca420i that I installed in the Econo-Beater, and since I have a Nano 4g I needed the Scosche Passport to make the charging work. It works well but not perfect. It is a 1st gen adaptor, and is access slow so setting up multiple playlists of <70 songs is a must. however you can get one for $100 -$150 in near mint condition.

I am still weighing options for the Tahoe, leaning towards the PXAMG for IPOD + AUX on one device but still researching some issues.

I ordered an Alpine CDA-9886 last night! It has everything I want and then some, came with a ton of free installation gear also. Now I may have to switch from my red LED's to blue!

I hope you checked the iPod compatibility. Here's the notes on that unit:
The unit can be used with the following iPod models - iPod mini (1st, 2nd generation), iPod nano (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th generation), Fourth generation iPod photo, Fifth generation iPod video, iPod classic (80, 120, 160GB) and iPod touch (1st, 2nd generation).

Note: The Full Speed cable will not charge the iPod nano 4th generation or iPod touch 2nd generation. The cable cannot be used with iPod software versions earlier than "2006-06-28". For details about "iPod Software Update", refer to the iPod's Instruction Manual.

I believe I have the 1st gen iPod touch. If not it is the 2nd gen, and I will just have to use my Belkin charger when it gets low.

I wonder if an aux input could be added anywhere, it might be kind of cool to have aux inputs for the rear and even 3rd row seats to plug in their ipods and control the music.
