How do you remove Denali/Escalade Roof Rack End Caps?

Like the title says, how do you remove Denali/Escalade roof rack end caps? Do they just snap off?

Not exactly. Well, they SHOULD, and (3) of mine did, but the last one was a real PITA to remove.

The caps have small plastic retaining tabs molded into them. It's going to require a rocking motion to undo these tabs. (Once you free the tabs, the pressure-fit clips release pretty easily.

I had to pry my last one off with a screwdriver and a lot of swearing. Hopefully yours all come off easily.
